Head of Safeguarding
Mohammed is the Muslim Chaplain for Leicester College, providing advice to learners, support and help to explore and discuss matters of faith and spirituality. Mohammed is also the Project Manager at Federation of Muslim Organisations, Leicestershire.
Since the last five years Mohammed has been actively involved and worked with St Philip’s Centre Leicester (a centre for training and inter faith dialogue) in delivering various projects around the country.
In 2010 he compiled ‘Safeguarding children', Guidance for Islamic Centres published in conjunction with Leicester city Council and Leicestershire Constabulary. Mohammed has delivered workshops and presentations nationally and internationally on the importance of Safeguarding in Islam. In 2010 he was the founding members of NSPCC’s National Advisory Board for Safeguarding Muslim Children.
At MCS, Mohammad is a member of a strong, dynamic and experienced team in providing training to the chaplains of MCS, and in particular of safeguarding.
